IMAG 2615 - Cardiac Sonography Clinical Experience I

Students are placed at various sites that provide a clinical experience at a foundational level. Under supervision in the clinical setting, students demonstrate competency in clinical and patient skills as well as correlation of pathological processes and normal variants to ultrasound imaging. Utilizing correct sonography equipment settings and operations, students observe and assist with ultrasound examinations of the adult cardiac system. Students receive training, feedback, and supervision from a registered cardiac sonographer.

Prerequisite: Completion of IMAG 1500 and IMAG 1505 or instructor consent with proof of RDMS, RVT, RVS, or ARRT (R) certification.
