RESP 2545 - Respiratory Lab III

This course is the laboratory section of Respiratory Therapy III. Students will learn and practice respiratory skills and simulate complex scenarios prior to practicum clinical rotations. The course will provide practical laboratory experience in advanced modalities of ventilation, ventilator graphics with practical experience troubleshooting equipment and the patient-ventilation system. Students will apply concepts of equipment adjustments to achieve optimal ventilation and oxygenation in critical care simulations. Student will apply non-conventional modes of mechanical ventilation during simulations of critical patient care. Course Fee: $150.00 This course is offered in the fall semester.

Prerequisite: Completion of RESP RESP 1535.
