Students gain an understanding of basic fluid power theory to include Pascal’s Law and Bernoulli’s principle. They apply the concepts of force, pressure and area to complete basic fluid power calculations. Students demonstrate appropriate safety practices to mitigate the hazards associated with fluid power systems. Students evaluate fluid power component construction and operation. They read and interpret complex hydrauic system schematics and diagrams. Students apply knowledge to analyze fluid power system faults and determine required maintenance practices. The student pays an additional course fee
