RDTK 1583 - Radiographic Procedures I Credits: 3 Students are provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform radiographic examinations of the shoulder girdle, lower extremity, pelvic girdle, spine, and bony thorax. Students begin to recognize alternative projections needed for imaging diverse populations, including pediatric, geriatric, and trauma patients. Students are introduced to gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) imaging including the associated contrast media. The course covers radiographic anatomy, positioning techniques, and image analysis, ensuring that students are well-prepared for clinical practice in radiography. This course is offered in the spring semester
Prerequisite: Completion of RDTK 1503 . Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in RDTK 1584 .
