MUSC 1290 - Class Piano I

The first semester of a four-semester sequence for the beginning piano student. Students develop skills in finger control, hand independence, and pedal technique. Students acquire and demonstrate skill in note reading, interpreting meter signatures and corresponding rhythms found in that meter, simple harmonization of melodies, and sight-reading. Credits: 1
