RDTK 1503 - Introduction to Radiography Credits: 4 An introductory course covering the history of radiography, introductory radiographic equipment and X-ray production, radiation protection and safety; radiographic and general medical terminology; and chest, abdomen, and upper extremity radiographic procedures. Students become knowledgeable regarding professional aspects of radiography including professional practice standards, ethics, and legal issues. During the last half of the semester, students begin clinical rotations and by semester end, competency and proficiency in chest, abdomen, and upper extremity radiography are achieved. There is a program fee associated with the course. Fall
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Radiography program and competency to enter into ENGL 1010 .
