WELD 1805 - Pipe Welding I Credits: 4 Students gain knowledge about equipment and setup, and electrodes and electrode selection used in shielded metal arc welding. Students utilize the American Welding Society standards of acceptability to develop manual skills necessary to produce quality single and multiple pass welds in 2G and 5G pipe positions using filler metals such as low hydrogen, non-low hydrogen, and iron powder electrodes commonly used in the welding industry.
Prerequisite: Completion of WELD 1760 .
