WELD 1815 - Pipe Welding III Credits: 4 Students gain knowledge about equipment and setup, electrodes, and electrode selection used in shielded metal arc welding, utilizing the American Welding Society standards of acceptability to develop manual skills necessary to produce quality single and multiple pass welds in 2G, 5G, and 6G pipe positions using filler metals such as low hydrogen, non-low hydrogen, and iron powder electrodes and GTAW and SMAW welding processes commonly used in the welding industry.
Prerequisite: Completion of WELD 1810 .
