LINX 2500 - Linux Administration I Credits: 4 Students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to install and administer Linux-Based systems. Students examine the basic concepts of Linux/UNIX operating systems and architecture. Topics covered include installation, boot managers, Linux desktop, help resources, software management, file and directory structure, command line administration, process management, and basic network and security configurations. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to install, configure, and administer a basic Linux system. At the conclusion of this course, students may be eligible to sit for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam or an equivalent. An additional fee for industry certification exam vouchers may be required.
