The Machine Tool Technology Credit Diploma prepares students for skilled positions as an entry-level manual machinist. Students gain the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to operate a variety of machine tools to be able to produce parts to meet specifications. This program provides training for entry-level employment in a manual machining environment.

Competencies

Work safely around machinery in an industrial environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools.
Interpret information from a blue print.
Apply critical thinking skills to solve common machining problems.
Operate equipment to produce machined products to required specifications.
