This credit diploma is designed to prepare students for careers as a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operator to meet current needs of industry. Students learn the techniques, hardware, software, and computer system practices associated with Computer-Aided Machining (CAM) to manually write, save, retrieve and transfer CNC machine programs. Students will learn to program Factory Automatic Numerical Control (FANUC) industrial robots and collaborative robots (co-bots) and will have the opportunity to earn FANUC certifications.

Competencies
- Demonstrate knowledge of Operating CNC Machining Centers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Operating CNC Turning Centers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of precision measurement.
- Identify safe metal-cutting practices in the manufacturing environment.
- Accurately interpret technical drawings to determine key inspection dimensions and specifications.
Choice Point
- Students who successfully complete the program can enter the workforce, or return to complete the Trades & Technical Studies, AAS.
