LCCC Catalog 2025-2026

SLPA Post-Baccalaureate, CD

Location(s): Online

This program has limited enrollment and is designed for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders within the last five years or are in the final year of the bachelor’s program at a regionally accredited institution and are seeking to become certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the Wyoming State Board of Examiners of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or to meet other state SLPA certification requirements.

The credit diploma can be completed in two semesters and is based upon the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Wyoming State Board educational and fieldwork experience requirements by providing 270 hours of clinical fieldwork. The program will assist students in securing placements to ensure that each student receives 100 hours of direct treatment experience under the supervision of an ASHA-certified Speech Language Pathologist.

Prospective students interested in the credit diploma should contact the SLPA Program Director for details about the admission and application process.  Applications are accepted annually, and applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA on their baccalaureate transcripts.
