The Credit Diploma in Emergency Medical Services-Paramedic program prepares competent entry-level paramedics for work in various emergency services fields including fire departments, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies, hospitals and other healthcare areas. The program integrates didactic and internship opportunities, preparing students for the National Registry for EMTs certification. The competencies of TREX 2000  are embedded into this program to ensure students benefit from and complete the requirements of the Transition Experience prior to graduating from LCCC.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), on the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Services Programs (CoAEMSP.)  Designed for full-time students, the program spans three semesters with courses arranged in sequence to progressively build skills. Upon completion of the Credit Diploma, students may work towards completion of the AAS degree. Current certification as EMT, AEMT, or Wyoming Intermediate EMT is required for acceptance into the program.  Information about the application process is available on the Apply to Health Sciences & Wellness Programs webpage.
