Competencies

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Apply critical thinking with the appropriate academic and technical skills to problems faced by the animal agriculture industry.
2. Work productively in teams in the classroom and the agriculture community to ensure safe and progressive animal handling practices.
3. Apply the scientific method to improve processes and decision making in livestock management.
4. Design proper animal nutrition to achieve desired outcomes for performance, development, and reproduction for economic sustainability.
5. Apply financial management principles to animal agriculture enterprises.
6. Design methods that balance livestock production goals with environmental effects.
