The Equine Management Credit Diploma prepares students for work in the field of equine training and management. Students will learn equine anatomy, physiology, nutritional needs, and proper evaluation of a horse. Students will gain knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for their internship in their chosen field which ultimately will prepare them for work in the equine industry.

Competencies
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: - Apply critical thinking using academic and technical skills to problems faced by the equine industry.
- Demonstrate effective communications addressing key topics in equine management.
- Implement strategies in coordination with equine industry partners to accomplish equine facility management goals.
- Implement successful health, nutrition, and management practices with horses in an equine facility.
- Apply workplace skills for the successful management of an equine facility.

Students who choose to complete the Equine Management Credit Diploma will be qualified for entry level jobs in the equine industry. Possible job opportunities may include barn manager, riding instructor, and equine industry correspondent.

Transfer Information
This credential is not designed to transfer to other institutions; however it is intended to allow student to continue seamlessly into the Agriculture & Equine Associate of Applied Science program at LCCC. This degree will allow student to continue their education with an emphasis in equine while offering increased employment opportunities and opening the door to pursue Bachelors of Applied Science in Applied Management through Laramie County Community College.
