The Automotive Technology- Automotive Fundamentals Program is designed to prepare students for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification Exams and employment in the Automotive Repair Industry. The Program offers hands-on training taught by ASE Certified Instructors.

The Automotive Fundamentals CD Diploma concentrates on the following ASE Certification Areas: G-1 Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair, A-1 Engine Repair, A-6 Electrical/ Electronic Systems, A-8 Engine Performance.

Competencies


Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate achievement of a passing performance on the ASE G-1 Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair Certification Exam
  2. Demonstrate achievement of a passing performance on the ASE A-1 Engine Repair Certification Exam
  3. Demonstrate achievement of a passing performance on the ASE A-6 Electrical/ Electronic Systems Certification Exam
  4. Demonstrate achievement of a passing performance on the ASE A-8 Engine Performance Repair Certification Exam
  5. Use a scan tool or diagnostic equipment to identify faults within vehicle operating systems
  6. Choose the appropriate test procedure(s) for fault diagnosis in an electrically/ electronically controlled vehicle systems.
