IMAG 1540 - OB/GYN Sonography II Credits: 2 A continuation of IMAG 1520 . Students will be introduced to the anatomy, pathology, and physiology and pathophysiology of the developing second and third-trimester pregnancy and post-pregnancy female pelvis along with proper scanning protocols. Students will learn to identify and recognize normal echo-texture of anatomy and pathology as it relates to the developing fetus. Students explore the importance of sonographic image quality as it relates to the anatomy, pathology, and development of a second and third-trimester fetus along with interventional procedures. This course is only offered in the spring semester.
Prerequisite: Completion of IMAG 1520 and IMAG 1521 .
