EDUC 2280 - Young Adult Literature Credits: 3 Students study works of literature for young adults, focusing on reading issues, adolescence, censorship, literary value, and life-long reading/learning. Students identify reading materials for young adult readers with a close examination of diversity including ethnicity, gender, and sexuality. This course is intended to provide teachers and others who work with young adults the opportunity to read and discuss literature that is written for or read by young adults in grades 6-12.
Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 1010 or instructor approval.
