IMAG 1525 - Abdominal Sonography I Credits: 2 Students will be introduced to the anatomy, pathology, physiology and pathophysiology of the abdominal organs along with the proper scanning protocols of each organ. Students will identify and recognize normal echo-texture of anatomy and pathology as it relates to the following organs: pancreas, liver, biliary system, gallbladder, kidneys, and abdominal vasculature. Students will explore the importance of sonographic image quality as it relates to the anatomy and pathology. This course is offered in the fall semester.
Prerequisite: Completion of IMAG 1500 and IMAG 1505 . Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in IMAG 1526 .
