ENGL 2230 - Introduction to Shakespeare Credits: 3 Students examine Shakespeare’s writings, including selections from his histories, comedies, tragedies and romances, as well as his poetry. Alongside close readings of his texts, students explore contexts of Shakespeare’s plays and poetry, both those contemporary to Shakespeare and those contemporary to the modern world, in order to address the lasting nature of his work.
Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 2205 .
