KIN 2137 - Personal Trainer Education II Credits: 3 This course is the second of a two-part sequence and follows KIN 2135 Personal Trainer Education I. This course bridges the gap between exercise science-related coursework and the practical application skills for personal training. Students learn resistance training techniques and principles, functional programming approaches, cardiorespiratory training strategies, mind-body exercise, exercises for special populations, injury prevention, and personal training business fundamentals. Following the completion of this two-part sequence, students are prepared to sit for the American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Training Exam. This course has a lecture component and a laboratory component.
Prerequisite: Completion of KIN 2135 .
