The Information Technology Fundamentals Credit Diploma is designed for students and professionals who need to acquire a basic to intermediate level of understanding of IT principles, systems, and concepts to enhance their employment or education potential. Students in the degree program will develop core skillsets necessary to tackle more advanced IT subject matter, as well as learning the fundamental terminology, roles, and considerations of IT in modern business environments. The competencies of TREX 2000 are embedded into this program to ensure students benefit from and complete the requirements of the Transition Experience prior to graduating from LCCC.

Competencies
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to install / configure common peripheral devices to a PC.
- Identify appropriate application resources to meet business outcome requirements.
- Identify common Information Security threats.
- Demonstrate application in the field of Database Applications, Telecommunications, Cloud Services, or Operational Scripting.
Milestones
- Eligible to sit for CompTIA ITF+ certification upon completion of CMAP 1250 .
- Completion of Information Technology Fundamentals, CD
- Enter the job market or continue working on Information Technology, AAS.
