KIN 1007 - Fitness Component: Cardiovascular Endurance Credits: 2 Students examine the multiple facets that comprise the fitness component of cardiovascular endurance. Students develop an understanding of the heart and lungs and the role exercise and physical activity play in either improving or maintaining this critical body system. Students explore the energy systems, recovery, target heart rate, training zone, and perceived rate of exertion as elements of this fitness component. Students evaluate and design cardiovascular endurance programs.
Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in PEAC 1295 .
