MEDC 1750 - Disease Processes for Coding Credits: 3 This course is the study of common disease processes and the drugs used in their treatment. Students describe various conditions and diseases of the organ systems including etiology, signs and symptoms, and methods of diagnosis and treatment. Students identify disease entities and describe appropriate diagnostic and treatment modalities. Students examine the action of drugs, including the absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs by the body.
Prerequisite: Completion of HLTK 1200 and HLTK 1210 .
