NURS 2315 - Professional Nursing Care of the Patient With Acute Illness: Clinical Three Credits: 5 In the clinical setting, students will be providing care for the patient and family with acute illness using the concepts of health promotion, safety, clinical judgment, leadership, patient centeredness, and professionalism. Students use caring behaviors, therapeutic communication, and advocacy when providing care to patients with chronic illness across the lifespan. The students facilitate the effectiveness of the interprofessional healthcare team. The patient and family lived experience is emphasized.
Prerequisite: Completion of NURS 1200 , and NURS 1215 . Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in NURS 2300 .
